Wurstfest
120 Landa St.

Immerse yourself in German culture November 6th through the 15th at the 2015 Wurstfest, which features dancing, carnival games, Bavarian-style entertainment and plenty of German food favorites, including bratwurst and beer. The Wurstwagen shuttle makes it easy to park at a distance and simply hitch a ride through the crowds to and from the festival.

Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza
Various Locations

Mark your calendar for November 15th through the 21st when you’ll have the chance to mariachi your way into live musical performances that will have you humming a lively tune for days. Events are scheduled at locations around the city and feature mariachi workshops, community presentations, vocal competitions, and talent showcases. The festival ends with a huge concert featuring the Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, which you won’t want to miss.

Ford Holiday River Parade and Lighting Ceremony
San Antonio River Walk

Don’t miss the opportunity to take in an hour-long parade on November 27th between 7 and 9 p.m. More than 25 illuminated floats are scheduled to light the night up as they make their way down the river carrying celebrities and costumed characters. The Youth Orchestra of San Antonio will give a holiday concert at 6 p.m., prior to the 7 p.m. lighting of the River Walk, so plan to arrive early.

Seaworld’s Christmas Celebration
10500 Seaworld Dr.

Between November 21st and 29th as well as multiple days throughout December, Seaworld has a special treat in store for San Antonio residents who love celebrating Christmas. Live shows in wintery lands of water, holiday light shows, hot cocoa tastings, and Santa Clause himself will be decking the halls around Seaworld. The kids are sure to get a kick out of Santa’s elves who are part of the live shows and can be found mingling throughout the park.

All of these events deserve some attention, and luckily many of them are scheduled to run for several days, making it easy for you to attend more than one.
