Asian cuisine covers a wide range of flavors and cooking styles, offering something for everyone. Why not enjoy a break from cooking at one of these great Asian restaurants in San Antonio?

1. Frederick's
7701 Broadway
210.828.9050
20 minutes from Springs at Live Oak

You probably wouldn't guess from the modest name, but Frederick's serves a unique fusion of French and Vietnamese cuisines that landed it on USA Today's "10 Best" list. Escargot sits alongside steamed dumplings on the small plates menu, while entrées include duck a l'orange and miso-glazed Scottish salmon. Looking for a new Happy Hour spot? Frederick's features $3.50 beers and an appetizer menu starting at only $5.

2. Sushi Seven
19141 Stone Oak Pkwy
210.496.7777
24 minutes from Springs at Bandera

At Sushi Seven, the traditional Japanese favorite is spiced up with zesty Mexican ingredients such as cilantro, habanero and chipotle. While the menu has an extensive selection of sushi, sashimi and rolls, the creative chefs will often prepare impromptu specials. Don't miss the tempura-fried jalapeños stuffed with a cream cheese-crab mix and topped with eel sauce and spicy mayo.

3. Heavenly Pho
19178 Blanco Rd
210.545.3553
20 minutes from Springs at Bandera

Pho has taken its place alongside chicken noodle soup as a comfort food that will cure whatever ails you. While pho originated as a breakfast dish in Vietnam, today's version is enjoyed any time of day or night. In addition to 16 varieties of its namesake dish, Heavenly Pho features bahn mi sandwiches along with a lengthy list of vegetarian, Thai and Chinese selections.

4. Bok Choy
5130 Broadway
210.437.2200
23 minutes from Springs at Live Oak

Bok Choy is a Pan Asian vegetarian restaurant that even meat eaters will love. Start off with a fresh summer roll or sweet and sour Brussels sprouts, then choose a classic favorite such as Kung Pao eggplant or Ma Po tofu. The "clean" stir-fry is a tasty assortment of vegetables sautéed in curry and red chili oil. Many of the menu selections are also gluten-free.

5. Hot Joy
1014 S Alamo St
210.368.9324
24 minutes from Springs at Alamo Ranch

Your experience at Hot Joy begins with the Eastern-themed decor, which one online reviewer compares to a film set. Then there's the food, which is described as "diabolically creative" and having "crazy-big flavors." Customers rave about Hot Joy's signature dish, twice-fried chicken wings tossed in a decadent crab-fat caramel glaze, as well as Ramen Mondays with $1 beers. Having a late-night craving? The kitchen is open until 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

6. Botika
303 Pearl Pkwy
210.670.7684
23 minutes from Springs at Live Oak

Billed as a "Culinary Crossroads Between Asia & South America," Botika opened in July 2016 and it's already drawing raves as San Antonio's hottest four-star restaurant. The menu is composed of "Chifa" (Chinese-Peruvian) and "Nikkei" (Japanese-Peruvian) dishes such as lomo saltado, a stir-fry of beef, onions, sweet peppers and French fries in a soy broth. If you want variety, try the sushi-ceviche bar.
