July_4-Activities_SA.jpgLive music? Shopping? Roller coasters? Athletic events? Whatever you call entertainment, you'll find it around San Antonio over the 4th of July weekend. There might even be a fireworks show or two along the way.

Here are some of the 4th of July events we're really anticipating. Which ones will go on your calendar?

1. 4th of July Celebration
Woodlawn Lake Park
1103 Cincinnati Ave
Monday, July 4

Join your friends and neighbors at San Antonio's official day-long 4th of July Celebration. Prepare for the festivities by burning off some calories at the Zumbathon or 5K race before watching the Children's Red, White and Blue Parade around the lake. The rest of the day is filled with free carnival rides, kids' activities and live music, leading up to the breathtaking fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

2. July 4th Fest
Six Flags Fiesta Texas
17000 IH-10 W
Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4

Is it possible to have any more fun at San Antonio's favorite amusement park? Find out when you visit over the holiday weekend for their July 4th Fest. Your ticket plus a can of any Coca-Cola® product gets you through the gates one hour early to enjoy thrilling attractions like "Batman: The Ride," the world's first 4D free-fly roller coaster.

Take a break for some games, product samplings and more in Crackaxle Canyon before ending the evening with the stunning "Lights of Liberty" fireworks show, taking place each night of the festival. Get discounted admission when you purchase tickets on the website.

3. Freedom Fest
Historic Market Square
514 W Commerce
Saturday, July 2 through Monday, July 4

Independence Day is a perfect occasion to celebrate the rich multicultural heritage of our country and state. Historic Market Square is the host of a three-day festival with live music from acts such as fusion artist Ruben V, Southern rockers Whiskey 2 Step and keyboardist Augie Meyers. In between shows, take in the colorful sights, sounds and flavors of what has been called "the largest Mexican market outside Mexico."

4. Fourth of July Artisan River Walk Boutique
Downtown San Antonio
Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 4

No celebration would be complete without an event at San Antonio's most popular attraction. For four days, River Walk will be lined with artisan booths featuring unique handmade items that make great gifts or beautiful accessories for your Springs San Antonio luxury apartment home. Create your own customized "festival" by including visits to restaurants, museums, shops and other entertainment options that make up the one-of-a-kind River Walk.

5. Independence Day at the Alamo
300 Alamo Plaza
Monday, July 4

Where better to honor the reason for the holiday than the Alamo? Activities include readings of the Declaration of Independence, musket and long rifle firing demonstrations, live music and photo opportunities with some of the re-enactors. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and admission is free.
