Alamo Drafthouse is a creative movie-going concept that's been sweeping the nation, but its roots are right here in Texas. With snacks, meals and drinks delivered right to your seat, movie night at Alamo Drafthouse is better than being at home! The menu includes pizza, burgers and brunch dishes while the bar serves dozens of beer brands along with a full selection of mixed drinks and "adult" milkshakes. Programming is a mix of big-budget Hollywood releases with classic and cult favorites. There are two other locations at Stone Oak and Park North, and all three share a central phone number (listed above).

When it comes to full-service movie theaters, San Antonio has an embarrassment of riches. Rialto Brewhaus is another first-rate theater offering in-seat food and beverage service. All shows are reserved seating, so no more waiting in line to make a dash for your favorite spot. In addition to the best current films, Rialto features special events such as classic movies and nationwide screenings of hit Broadway shows.

Everything about the City Base Experience screams "luxury," from the leather rocking chairs with retractable arms to the 4K digital projection system. CBX features after 6 p.m. are reserved for adults over 18, and the $12 admission includes free popcorn and soft drink refills. Reduced pricing is available daily for the first two show times and all others before 5 p.m.

The Bijou is San Antonio's only art-house theater, regularly screening the best of independent and foreign cinema along with top Hollywood releases. Programming is aimed at sophisticated and serious film buffs, so no children under the age of 12 are admitted and those between the ages of 12 and 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Admission for all shows before 5 p.m. is only $7.

Casa Blanca is not your typical movie theater. It's actually a complete entertainment center that includes food and beverage service, bowling and a state-of-the-art video arcade. The AVX auditorium features an oversized screen, Dolby ATMOS sound and 4K projection.
