Spring in CincinnatiMidwest winters often are brutal. When spring finally does begin to arrive, residents living in the Cincinnati area begin to wonder, what are some fun things to do near me? The Springs at Liberty Township apartments and the Springs at West Chester apartments enjoy easy proximity to some of Cincinnati’s best spring events and activities.

Otto Armleder Memorial Park & Recreation Complex

Get out and enjoy the balmy days of spring at the Otto Armleder Memorial Park & Recreation Complex, a Cincinnati park. Located on Wooster Pike, just off Columbia Parkway (U.S. 50), this 10-acre, off-leash dog park is a treat for pups and their pet parents. There are separate areas for small and large breeds, doggie drinking fountains, a canine shower, and ample shade plus benches. In addition to the dog park, visitors can enjoy a paved one-mile trail that connects to the longer Lunken Airfield loop, access to the Little Miami River, and a kids’ playground.

International Butterfly Show

Eden Park, located in the heart of Cincinnati, about 20 miles south of Liberty Township and West Chester, is home to the Krohn Conservatory. Each year the conservatory hosts a special spring event, the International Butterfly Show. This year it runs from March 24 through June 17. More than 10,000 butterflies flitter within a greenhouse for visitors to enjoy up close. Also located within Eden Park are the Cincinnati Art Museum, Bettman Fountain, the Playhouse in the Park, Mirror Lake, Twin Lakes, and the historic Water Tower.

Carew Tower Observation Deck

Spring is the best time to enjoy the sites of Cincinnati. Located on Vine Street, the Carew Tower Observation Deck offers spectacular views from its 49th floor deck. The building is home to 25 different shops plus restaurants, offices, and the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza.
