5 Questions to Ask When Deciding Between Studio and One-Bedroom Apartments in Cincinnati

Studio_vs_1_Bedroom_Cin.jpgIf you're a single person searching for an apartment in the Cincinnati area, you might be having a hard time choosing between studio and one-bedroom floor plans. To help you out, we’ve assembled a list of five questions to address before making your decision:

1. Do you Host Overnight Guests?

If you plan on having friends or family members visit from out of town, a one-bedroom apartment is likely your best option. This will ensure that both you and your guest have some privacy. On the other hand, if you rarely have overnight guests, a studio apartment with an open living and sleeping area may be adequate.

2. How Much Time Do You Spend at Home?

Does your apartment primarily serve as a sleeping space? If so, a studio apartment may be all you need. The studios at Springs at Liberty Township and Springs at West Chester are well equipped with washers and dryers, walk-in closets, and appliances, so you'll have everything you need when you stop home. However, if you have some at-home hobbies that require a little more space you might benefit from the extra space provided by a one-bedroom.

3. How Tight is Your Budget?

A one-bedroom apartment is somewhat more expensive than a studio, so if you're on a really tight budget, sticking with a studio may give you a little more free cash to spend on entertainment and hobbies. However, if you have more room in your budget, the extra spaciousness and flexibility offered by a one-bedroom might be worth the extra monthly cost.

4. How Much Furniture Do You Own?

If you don't own a lot of furniture, moving into a one-bedroom will be more costly because you'll want to purchase more furniture to outfit it. However, if you have excess furniture won't fit into a studio apartment, you might need to lease a storage unit. While the studios at Springs Apartments are more spacious than most—offering 525 to 623-square-feet of living space—it's still important to experiment with our 3D Floor Plans to get an idea whether your furniture will fit before making a decision.

5. How Do You Feel About Cleaning and Decorating?

While a one-bedroom apartment is more spacious, more space also means more cleaning and decorating. If you abhor these activities, you may prefer the smaller space of a studio, whereas if you enjoy decorating and being creative with your space, you may gain satisfaction from decorating a larger one-bedroom.

Whether you choose a studio or one-bedroom, you still get to enjoy all of the great amenities at Springs Apartments. We offer a 24-hour fitness facility, on-site management, resort-style pool, community clubhouse with free Wi-Fi, and more.
