After moving to a luxury apartment home in North Aurora or Romeoville, one thing you’ll want to do is learn more about your community’s local government resources, local ordinances, voting precincts, library and more. To make that process a bit more convenient, we’ve put together this short list of municipal links that you should check out.
Village of North Aurora
25 E State St
North Aurora’s municipal offices and the police department are located in the same building, making it easy to access services under one roof. To help welcome new residents, the Village offers a convenient Welcome Packet that provides information about Village services like recycling and utilities, as well as listings that will help you find the post office, local hospitals and educational institutions.
The public library arguably is one of a community's unsung treasures, offering residents a chance to borrow books and movies, conduct research, attend informational programs, hold meetings in private rooms or provide a quiet place to read or study. Neighboring Aurora offers North Aurora residents the choice of several locations, including the new Santori Public Library in downtown Aurora. Visit them all, for each one has a unique personality of its own:
- Eola Road Branch, 555 S. Eola Road; 630-264-3400
- West Branch, 233 S. Constitution Drive; 630-264-3600
- Express Center, 1100 Church Road; 630-723-2705
Village of Romeoville
1050 W Romeoville Rd
Like the village of North Aurora, you can find Romeoville's municipal offices in the same building as the police and fire departments — and with the same phone number. Romeoville has a population of nearly 40,000, making it a comfortable haven from its bigger, noisier neighbor, Joliet. Romeoville's motto is “where community matters,” and the city’s helpful staff members enjoy showing how new residents matter, too.
Romeoville Branch Library
201 W Normantown Rd
Part of the White Oak Library District, the Romeoville Library is one proactive library that seeks like-minded friends. Through its friends of the library program, full calendar of events, and array of resources, you’ll find many ways to become involved, which will help you ease into your new community.
While municipal offices can be terrific resources of information, don't forget that the helpful team members at Springs Apartments communities are there for you, too. They’re most concerned with your comfort, safety and satisfaction — and there to help you resolve issues that affect your quality of life every day.
