Chicago Blackhawks Hockey SeasonIf you’re a hockey fan, you’re in luck in Chicago. The city has an outstanding team that’s held residence here for nearly a century. If you’re itching to indulge your inner sports fan, we’ll give you the lowdown on everything you need to know to step up and support your Blackhawks like a true fan.

Introducing Your Chicago Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks were founded in 1926, making them one of the original six NHL teams alongside the Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers. The team has had its ups and downs over the years, but started the 2017–18 season strong with solid wins against the Penguins and Blue Jackets. Top players on the team include wingers Patrick Kane, Brandon Saad and Richard Panik, and goaltender Corey Crawford.

Catch a Game at United Center

The Chicago Blackhawks play at United Center, sharing the venue with the Chicago Bulls. The United Center is about 45 minutes from our Springs at Orchard Road and Springs at Weber Road apartment communities.

Public parking lots circle the stadium so it’s easy to find a spot before the game. Guests have to walk through metal detectors to get into the stadium, so come early to make sure the process doesn’t make you late. You cannot bring any bag larger than 14” x 14” x 6” in size.

The Chicago’s Plate and Chicago Pours programs bring local cuisine and brews to the stadium, so you can enjoy some of the city’s best bites and beverages right on site. Come hungry so you can enjoy a well-rounded game day experience with all the stadium’s best indulgences.
