Near Springs at Orchard Road

1. Halloween Scavenger Hunt

Head to room 110-111 at the Eola Community Center for a playful approach to Halloween from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on October 27. You’ll find 14 activity stations that you can rotate through with kid-centered highlights like leaf art, pumpkin painting and sticker crafts. While the children hunt and play, adults can browse vendors and enter to win prizes including Lularoe leggings, Lipsense lip gloss and a Scentsy plug-in wax warmer. Admission is $2 per child and includes crafts and snacks.

The Fox Valley Mall is hosting an exciting Halloween event from noon to 2 p.m. on October 28. Participants are welcome to dress up and enjoy the festivities, though masks are prohibited for children age 12 and older. The trolls Poppy, Guy Diamond, Branch, Bridget and the King will be on hand for meet and greets. Face painting, balloons, and other activities will keep you busy and add to the fun.

The Village Park Halloween Fest is a free event taking place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on October 27. You’ll find a trick or treat trail, moon jumps, entertainment and crafts. The first 400 children will receive pumpkins. Don’t forget to dress up for the evening! Children between the ages of 2 and 12 can participate in a costume contest.

2. Library Kids Club Halloween

On October 30, the Romeoville library branch’s Monday Kids Club will feature a Halloween activity. From 4 to 5 p.m., children ages 6 to 10 can show up to make crafty masks and go trick-or-treating around the library.
