3 Great Places to “Paint and Sip” in Tulsa

July 16, 2015

Ready for something new this weekend? How about an art class? Not just any old art class either—one where you get to 'wine' your way through it. That's right: Grab a group of friends and sign up for a “paint and sip” class.

The fun you have is always more important than the results. Remember, 90% of the patrons of these classes are novices, so don't worry about being a newbie to painting. You just might discover a new hobby.

The Painted Lyon
6056 S. Yale Ave
Tulsa, OK 74135

The Painted Lyon is a “Paint and Sip Studio” in Tulsa that opened in 2103. Their class calendar is posted on the 15th of the month, and they offer a number of different classes, Tuesday through Saturday nights. They provide you with the canvas, brushes, paints, apron, and the artists to help you create that special piece you can hang on your wall—they even clean up the mess. So start with a beverage from the paint bar and let your creativity flow.

The Spirited Canvas
(Various restaurant venues, or they come to you!)

The Spirited Canvas is an "A-List Readers' Choice Award Winner" in Tulsa, and boasts rave reviews from satisfied customers. At The Spirited Canvas you can enjoy, you guessed it, spirits while painting your masterpiece. No previous drawing or painting experience is necessary as an artist leads you step-by-step through the process. Sessions last two to three hours, cost $35, and come with all the supplies you need. Spirits are extra.

Pinot's Palette
1621 E. 15th St.
Tulsa, OK 74120

Pinot's Palette is an upscale “paint and sip” studio that is perfect for a date night or a girls' night out. Their studio provides everything you need: They give you the painting supplies to create your artwork, the wine to enjoy as you paint, and the wine bar even has coffee for the afterparty. You can view their full calendar on their website.

This weekend, grab friends and make plans to paint the town red (or white) at one of these fun venues in Tulsa.
