4 Oklahoma City Breweries to Include on Your Bucket List

September 18, 2017

Breweries_OKC.jpgOne of the best ways to celebrate the arrival of fall is to check out some of the localbreweries right in Oklahoma City. Over the past few years, a number of craft breweries have popped up throughout the city, making it convenient for our Springs at May Lakes and Springs at Memorial residents to enjoy a cold brew native to their hometown.

Here are four local breweries around Oklahoma City that you need to include on your fall bucket list:

Anthem Brewing Company
908 SW 4th St
405.604.0446

Anthem Brewing Company is a little off the beaten path just outside of downtown Oklahoma City, but it's worth venturing out. This brewery's passion for beer is evident as soon as you walk through the door, and patrons are invited to tour the facility and learn about Anthem's old-world style of brewing beer. The brewery hosts a number of events throughout the month, including Food Truck Fridays, live music and Oktoberfest.

Twisted Spike Brewing Company
1 NW 10th Street
405.301.3467

Twisted Spike offers a lot of space when compared to other watering holes around Oklahoma City, making it a great destination for large group gatherings. You'll find a wide selection of stouts and IPAs that primarily fall into the saison and blonde categories. The brewery's old-fashioned popcorn machine creates a snack that pairs perfectly with its craft beers, and the games (including a giant Jenga set) will keep you occupied for hours.

Mustang Brewing Company
520 N Meridian Ave
405.943.0100

Looking for a great place to pop in and have a local beer? Look no further than Mustang Brewing Company. The taproom serves as a favorite neighborhood bar with half of the beers on draft being Mustang beers and the other half from Elk Valley. Tours of the brewery are offered every first and third Friday of the month from 4 to 7 p.m. and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. While the tour is free, the tasting is $5 and includes four samples of three-ounce beers of your choice.

Stonecloud Brewing
1012 NW 1st St
405.602.3966

Stonecloud Brewing offers an opportunity to drink quality beers for an affordable price. If you want to venture outside your comfort zone and try something new (a coffee IPA, for example), you can buy a 4-ounce glass for about $3. Enjoy the beautiful fall weather on this brewery's dog-friendly patio, and don't be surprised if you see a food truck or two parked outside.

These Oklahoma City breweries each provide their own unique experiences, and many offer growlers so you can enjoy your favorite craft beers back at your apartment.
