Keep the Oktoberfest Spirit Alive Around Oklahoma City

Oktoberfest Celebrations around Oklahoma CityOktoberfest celebrations kicked off in early September throughout Oklahoma, with rousing music and rich German brews drawing visitors in for the fun. Whether you missed out on the earlier festivities or you’re simply not ready to let Oktoberfest end, we have good news for you! You can keep celebrating throughout October with these opportunities for more German dishes, drinks and activities.

1. Tulsa Oktoberfest
River West Festival Park, 2100 S Jackson Ave, Tulsa

Tulsa’s Oktoberfest comes late in the season, scheduled for October 19 – 22. You’ll find a selection of cultural arts and crafts, live entertainment, rousing games and plenty of delicious German delicacies. There’s something special taking place every day of the festival, including opening ceremonies on Thursday, October 19, a Euro Disco on Friday, Siegi’s World Championship Sausage Eating Contest on Saturday, and the Dachshund Dash and costume parade on Sunday. General admission is $10 at the gate or $7 in advance.

2. Royal Bavarian Buffet
3401 S. Sooner Rd, Moore

Head to Royal Bavaria on Thursday nights for an all-you-can-eat German buffet between 5 and 9 p.m. You’ll find grilled sausages, pork schnitzel, sauerkraut, spätzle, mashed potatoes and more. Indulge for just $17 for adults and $7 for children age 3 to 12. Don’t miss the restaurant’s own brewery beers while you’re there. The Oktoberfest brew is available year-round, with the smoky-flavored Rauchbier joining it in the autumn months.

3. Fassler Hall
421 NW 10th Street, Oklahoma City

Fassler Hall has long been a popular pick in Tulsa, but now OKC residents have easy access to the beer garden as well. Visit the newest Fassler Hall location in midtown, about 20 minutes from our Springs at May Lakes and Springs at Memorial communities. The menu of German brews includes Benediktiner Oktoberfest, Paulaner Oktoberfest, Warsteiner Oktoberfest and Weihenstephaner Oktoberfest to help you get in the spirit. Be sure to pair your brew with some of the sausages made in-house. Options include bratwurst, cheddarwurst, frankfurter and more.

4. Old Germany Restaurant
15920 SE 29th, Choctaw

The Old Germany Restaurant has been an Oklahoma staple since 1976. Though its Oktoberfest celebration is already passed, you can still enjoy all the flavors of this cultural celebration at your leisure. The menu includes traditional favorites like pork schnitzel, Old Germany steak, and a wide selection of sausage dinners served with a side of sauerkraut. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
