Top Breweries around Twin CitiesWith craft beer firmly established as a fixture in the Twin Cities food and beverage scene, taprooms have become the new neighborhood gathering spots. Here are some of our favorite local breweries around our Springs Twin Cities luxury apartment communities.

1. Bald Man Brewing

Co-founder Tristan Kusneriak, the original Baldman, started brewing beer during his college days and went on to train with the American Brewers Guild. There's always something going on at Bald Man, whether it's live music, bingo or trivia night. Plus, top local food trucks are nearby when you get hungry. Bald Man is open every day but Monday.

2. Angry Inch Brewing
20841 Holyoke Ave, Lakeville

Their slogan is "Angry Beer for Happy People," and you'll definitely have a good time at Angry Inch Brewing. The taproom bar is made from mahogany reclaimed from old Minnesota bleachers, and the light fixtures are wagon-wheel-and-growler "chandeliers." Angry Inch is open Wednesday through Sunday.

3. Badger Hill Brewing Company

The craft beer at Badger Hill is so fresh that you can view the brewhouse through a large glass wall just steps away. Challenge your pals to one of the board games on hand as you sip on a Hop Hill Pale Ale or Minnesota Special Bitter. Dine on fare from the food truck of the day or get delivery from one of the neighborhood restaurants. Badger Hill is kid-friendly and usually has popsicles available for the little ones. The taproom is open every day but Monday and brewery tours are offered at 2 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month.

Is there anything that pairs better with a good beer than a thick, juicy burger? Enjoy the best of both at JL Beers. While this popular hangout isn't an actual brewery, they have a selection of global and local tap, can and bottle beer that is the envy of any taproom. The food menu features more than a dozen gourmet burgers as well as fresh-cut fries and chips. Hours at JL Beers are 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily with extended hours until midnight Thursday through Saturday.

5. Nutmeg Brewhouse

Nutmeg Brewhouse is one of the newer additions to the local craft brew scene, having opened in December 2015. The ambiance was created as a cultural fusion of modern Americana and British colonial, which is evident in dishes such as Scotch eggs, Moroccan lentil soup and chicken tikka. Nutmeg Brewhouse is open 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. daily except 10 p.m. on Sunday.
