Celebrate Global Running Day at 5 Beautiful Trails Near West Chester and Liberty Township

In honor of Global Running Day on Wednesday, June 7, check out these terrific trails near Springs at Liberty Township and Springs at West Chester.

Springs at Liberty Township

Wetlands Park

The park gets its name from the four ponds on its 42-acre grounds that are home to an amazing variety of wildlife. Paved trails provide stunning settings for a run, and many of them lead to unpaved trails where you can explore the park further. Hours at Wetlands Park are 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily.

Dudley Woods Park
5591 Hankins Rd, Liberty Township

People head to Dudley Woods Park for a peaceful oasis where they can "get away from it all." The 64-acre grounds include 11.4 acres of natural trails that wind through the woods and around a pond where you may spot some wildlife. Take a break and visit the Gregory Log Cabin, which housed one of the area's first pioneer families. Dudley Woods Park is open 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. seven days a week.

Springs at West Chester

Sharon Woods Park

Want some variety in your fitness routines? In addition to a 2.6-mile paved trail around the lake, Sharon Woods Park has a one-mile parcours fitness trail and an 0.7-mile nature trail, as well as a popular four-star 18-hole golf course. Take your workout on the water and rent a stand-up paddleboard at the boathouse. Hours at Sharon Woods Park are dusk to dawn seven days a week.

Keehner Park
7211 Barret Rd, West Chester

Keehner Park is 123 acres of wooded land running alongside the east fork of Mill Creek. The park also features tennis courts and two playgrounds for the kids, and leashed dogs are welcome. Make a whole day of it in the summer, when Keehner Park hosts the West Chester Concert Series on select Saturday evenings. Keehner Park is open from dawn till dusk seven days a week.

VOA Park spans an impressive 435 acres with a 2.5-mile paved trail circling a scenic 35-acre lake that's stocked for fishing. Catch your breath and enjoy the view from the stunning patio at the Ronald Reagan Lodge, or Bring Fido along to enjoy a run at Wiggly Field Dog Park. VOA Park is open daily from 7 a.m. until dark.
