1. Catch a Film at Marcus Theaters

Throughout National Hispanic Heritage Month, Marcus Theaters will host a series of cultural films at select locations. You can catch several affordable $5 films including Selena, Frida and Tales of Mexico. All three will be hosted at the South Shore location in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Less than two hours from our Springs at Weber Road apartment community, these make for a great weekend road trip when you want a special way to celebrate the month. Two additional films will be unveiled at the end of October at varying locations to cap off the event.

2. Attend a Cooking Class in Jewel-Osco

La Preferida’s Chef Mario Morales is hosting a cooking class at the Kinzie on the Rocks bar in Jewel-Osco. You’ll cook and dine on a three-course meal with drink pairings for every dish. 3. Catch the Mariachi Vergas de Tecalitlan

The Mariachi Vargas, dubbed the “Greatest Mariachi in the World,” is performing at 3 p.m. on October 15, 2017. The last day of Hispanic Heritage Month is the perfect time to catch these lively performers as you give the celebratory weeks a rousing sendoff. Arrive early to see a student performance from 2:15 to 2:45.

4. Grab a Meal at Restaurant Tecalitlan

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a delicious meal packed with authentic Hispanic flavors.
